About us
I am Astrid van Spronsen. My love for leather began as a child when I found an old leather horse halter on my family's historic farm. The leather was beautiful, even though the stitching was worn. The local shoemaker repaired it with needle and thread – the old-fashioned way. The smell of leather, the pure craftsmanship… it fascinated me.
After more than 25 years in hospitality and account management, I ended up at a traditional leather goods workshop. After two years in the sales department, I got the chance to collaborate with the workshop in a different form; no longer for them, but with them. This workshop has been supplying the most demanding clients for over 80 years — including the Ministry of Defence and the Dutch police.
Based on my own vision of hospitality, and the workshop as a partner, ServedBy Leather was a logical step. With a carefully curated collection as a foundation, I co-create, develop new concepts, and guide from idea to product — for professionals who value quality and service as their calling card
